At Farak, we revere the ancient art of hand block printing, a tradition that transcends through the pieces we create. Dating back to the 12th century, this exclusive process is a testament to history's rich tapestry. Passed down through generations, it demands artistry, skill, and unwavering patience. Each print begins as a hand-drawn design, exclusively carved onto wooden blocks. The precision of this craft, honed through years of apprenticeship, is evident in every element of the design, each requiring its own block. As colors are stamped onto the fabric, the process unfolds slowly, reflecting the dedication of the artisans involved. The rhythmic ‘knocking’ of the block hitting wood plays as a harmonious reminder of their tireless work.
